Hello! I’m Sharon.

My aim is to present them in a way that’s easy to understand so you can get excited about them too.

I’ve been around business all my life (thank you family business) which is how I developed a passion for accounting and all things numerical.

I completed a Bachelor of Business while working at a Chartered Accounting firm, then went on to complete the CPA program where I won the High Achievers Award for outstanding effort.

Fast forward a number of years and I’m now an MBA qualified, registered tax agent, and CPA, with over 20 years of experience in accounting and business advisory. I’ve slogged it out for a big firm, learnt the ins and outs of business as the accountant for a real estate agency, and discovered all things small business from running my own.

I’m honest, passionate and determined to work closely with equally enthusiastic clients, especially those who love a bit of tech, so I can help their businesses thrive. No simple box ticking here. 

I never take on a new client without having a chat first or reviewing their Xero file.

Passion Business Advisors operates out of Albury/Wodonga where I live with my partner Patrick (also an accountant) but, being virtual, I can service the world. Living in Victoria during COVID delivered that silver lining at least!

No morning begins without a cup of coffee. The next travel adventure is always high on my agenda. And I love my book club, but mostly for the catch up with friends.

• The Barefoot Investor by Scott Pape, which completely changed my attitude to money.
• The E Myth by Michael Gerber, which looks at creating systems and processes to help your business run more efficiently.
• She means business by Carrie Green, which inspired me to start my own business.
• And, for a good laugh, 488 Rules for Life by Kitty Flanagan – especially the audio version by Kitty herself.
