Why Passion Business Advisors?
The name Passion is a combination of my name, Sharon, and my partner’s name, Patrick. I spin on Brangelina if you like! I like working with numbers, but what I really love is working with people who are passionate about what they do. People who light up when they talk about their business. So the name Passion is a combination of these things.
A bit about me
I have been around business all my life. I grew up in Griffith and my dad ran a building company which my brother eventually took over. I have been an accountant for over 20 years. I grew up in Griffith, NSW and worked for a Chartered Accounting firm while completing my Bachelor degree by correspondence. I also completed CPA qualification and earned the High Achievers Award on graduation. After several years, I moved to Newcastle and worked as a Manager at a large accounting firm. I had the opportunity to work with a range of businesses and a great team and stayed in the role for over 10 years.
Wanting a change from Chartered Accounting, I went to work as finance manager for a Newcastle real estate business. I loved this role because it was a chance to work closely with the business owner and management staff. We were able to work together to develop processes and procedures to improve the business.
In 2019 I made the decision to move to Albury to be closer to my family and it has been the best decision. It has also allowed me to pursue my passion project and start Passion Business Advisors!
